Born and raised in Rochester NY, Mikaal attended the University of the Arts as an acting major. Soon after receiving his BFA from Uarts he studied the Jacque Lecoq approach to physical theatre in London at the London International School of Performing Arts. He most recently worked with Raelle Myrick-Hodges on the critically acclaimed production of "Raisin in the Sun" as Walter Lee at Playmakers Rep. He has also been privileged to work with other incredible directors such as Dan Rothenberg of Pig Iron Theatre Co. in "Love Unpunished" and many other Pig Iron productions, Aaron Posner in "The Tempest" at the Folger Theatre in D.C. and "Freedom Rising" at the National Constitution Center, as well as Rachel Chavkin on the European tour of "Mission Drift" for The T.E.A.M., which won a Scotsman Fringe First and a Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
